Where to stay in Vigan: Villa Angela Hotel

A few months ago I recently went back to Vigan, this time I stayed at Villa Angela Hotel. I enjoyed my stay there so much mostly because of the ambiance it gives. Reminds me of good old times in history when life were more simple, people dress more appropriately and curfew starts at 6pm.

Vigan is one of the most preserved Spanish Colonial places in the Philippines. Old buildings and houses are still standing, converted into museums, souvenir shops or restaurant and the pavement you will walk in along Calle Crisologo is still the same pavement Filipino and Spanish ancestors built . Villa Angela offers everything old and nostalgic, beginning from the entrance gate, reception area, up to your very own room. So cozy that you wouldn't want to leave. The structure is more than 100 years old, family house turned into a hotel for travelers around the world who are looking for a place that offers more than the usual.

I highly recommend Villa Angela Hotel because it complements the vibe that Vigan provides to its visitors, takes you years back. It's clean, cheap and safe. The receptionists are all friendly both in Vigan and Manila offices, offers you services and gives you choices so you'll know where to go and what to do during the whole stay.

From the outside it will look like an ordinary old house and not a hotel, if your coming from a bus station just tell the tricycle driver to take you to Villa Angela Hotel.

Happy to know that it is a Trip Advisor recommended place to stay.

Sample room that is good for 5-6 persons 3500pesos/night.
